E-ZPass® "On-the-Go" is the new, easier way to obtain an E-ZPass® account.
E-ZPass® On-the-Go is the new innovative way to obtain an E-ZPass® account. E-ZPass® On-the-Go will allow the busy traveler to open an E-ZPass® account without filling out an application or waiting in line.
It’s as E-Z as 1-2-3:
- Stop at a participating retailer and purchase the prepackaged account kit for $25.00 (or $30.00 in the five Boroughs and Long Island).
- Mount the tag in the vehicle and start using it immediately.
- Visit the E-ZPass® web site and register your tag within 48 hours of its first use. Once the tag is registered, the full $25.00 will be moved to your E-ZPass account ($30.00 in the five Boroughs and Long Island).
Existing E-ZPass customers that have a New York State Thruway or MTA Bridges & Tunnels account can also pick up an additional tag at any of the Authorized Retail Locations. The full $25.00 or $30 are applied respectively to the account once the tag is registered.
